Lisa Kimberly Glickman
Lisa Kimberly Glickman was born and currently resides in Montreal. She holds a Master’s degree in Art Education from McGill University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work is featured in private collections across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
LK’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in the natural world, blending intuition, research, and creativity. While paint serves as her foundation, she incorporates a diverse range of materials—wood, foil, textiles, and embroidery—creating “Sloppy Craft.” This fusion of traditional craft techniques with modern materials allows her to explore the complex relationship between nature and human experience, balancing personal reality with a utopian vision of beauty.
Sustainability, fragility, and the impermanence of our ecosystem are central themes in her work, driving her creative process. Inspired by nature, she gathers ideas through sketches and photography, using them as references in her studio. Through her art, she seeks to create a quiet dialogue with viewers—one that educates, excites, and inspires.
