Hannah Alpha

Over the past thirty years Montreal-based artist Hannah Alpha has been refining and simplifying her expression of movement and of the human body. With a few minimalist lines, she illustrates the human body in all its sensuality and its simplest expression.

Through her practice of Tai Chi, she has developed an intensification of consciousness of the unity between being and awareness, and that feeling permeates her art.

Hannah is represented by Art Interiors gallery in Toronto and Atelier Circulaire in Montreal, and is an active member of the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (RAAV).

She has participated in solo or collective exhibitions in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. Her work appears in private and public collections around the world including the Canada Council Art Bank and the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Hannah has taught drawing and painting at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for fifteen years.
